Steps in Healing

My Approach

I believe that therapy is a collaborative process built on trust, compassion, and respect. My goal is to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you feel comfortable exploring your thoughts, emotions, and experiences.

About me

Hello and welcome! I am so excited to be considered for a part of your mental wellness journey! My name is Jennifer Adams, and I am a Licensed Social Worker based in Cincinnati, OH.

Individual
Psychotherapy

Individual therapy is a personalized and empowering approach to mental health care that I am passionate about. My goal is to help you explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in a safe, confidential environment where you can truly be yourself.

Trauma Therapy

Trauma therapy is a powerful process that empowers individuals to confront and heal from their past experiences. As a licensed expert in Trauma Responsive Care and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), I create a safe and supportive environment where you can explore your emotions and develop effective coping strategies.

Case Management

In my practice, case management is a vital service I provide, coordinating and overseeing all aspects of your care. I take the time to evaluate your unique needs, ensuring you get the medical, psychiatric, and therapeutic support that’s right for you.

Care
Details

In my practice, I take pride in guiding individuals through the complexities of life, with a primary focus on anxiety, depression, and trauma. I understand that these issues can be overwhelming, and I am here to provide the support and expertise needed to navigate through them. However, my specialization doesn't end there.

Animal Assisted Therapy

Healing doesn't always begin with words. For many people, sitting across from a therapist and immediately sharing painful experiences can feel overwhelming. Animal Assisted Therapy offers a different path—one where connection, safety, and emotional regulation are supported by the calming presence of animals.
